For 25 years Toyhouse, a community based charity in Tower Hamlets, has been visiting children with disabilities and their families in their own home, offering a listening ear, information, emotional support and high quality specialist toys for children to borrow – a very popular Mobile Toy Library! The service is greatly appreciated by families who are not able to get out as their child is so poorly, sometimes linked to oxygen or feeding tubes 24hrs a day. Now funding for the service is ending; a victim of public spending reductions; families have no spare energy to complain. This campaign aims to keep the service running for as many children as we can!

Cath, Toyhouse Chairperson for over 10yrs, has persuaded not only her husband Bob, but also her son James, to take part in “Ride London”; a 100mile route of the 2012 Olympic Road Race,in support of the Mobile Toy Library.  They both completed the race and their fantastic effort has raised over £10,000 to support the work of Toyhouse.
