Toyhouse Centre Sessions – Closures over the Winter Break:

The Toyhouse Centre sessions will be closed from 5pm 18th December

and most will Restart from Monday 7th January 2019

The Tuesday Drop in session will not restart until 15th January due to staff training

 The office will remain open until 12 noon on Thurs 20th December

Please note:  Early Years Active Play which we run on Monday and Wednesday at Mile End Play Pavilion will be closed from after the session on  Wed 12th until it reopen on Monday 7th January 2019

 

 

THANK YOU  to everyone who supported our fund raising toy sale buy donating toys or coming along to buy them.  We raised an amazing £435 

 

Toyhouse sessions will have a graduated start from 3rd September.  Please see our new time table to ensure you know the start date of each session.

We will have some new sessions starting in September, look out for COOK 4 LIFE & THE SEWING CLUB, both these session require you to book as the number of places are limited

Exciting time at the Business in the Community Awards at the Royal Albert Hall when Morgan Stanley ‘Healthy Cities’ won the Connected Places award. As one of the partners Toyhouse has the privilege to be part of this.

Next TOY SALE WILL BE DURING THE ST PAUL’S WAY FESTIVAL

ON SATURDAY 23RD JUNE 10-1.30PM 

A HALF TERM MUNCHERS WORKSHOPS WILL TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY 13TH FEBRUARY  11-1 pm.  This is fun cooking & activity workshop for children 4-10 years together with their parents.  Places limited to the first 14 children.  Contact us for more info

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING THE ACTIVE PLAY HEALTHY EATING COURSE.  

But we have started a new course: COOK COMMUNITY & CULTURE now running Tuesday’s 10-12.30.  each course is 6 sessions over 6 weeks.  Contact us for more details

This term we are continuing to work in partnership with the local Medical Centre at St Paul’s Way and will be holding the 6 session DIY Health course here at Toyhouse on a Wednesday morning. Suitable for parents with children under 5 who want to learn more about their children’s health

THE 14TH INTERNATIONAL TOY LIBRARY CONFERENCE

At the International Toy Library Conference in the Netherlands. Pip & Julie  represented Toyhouse and the UK by making a presentation entitled ‘Firmer Foundations’ showcasing our range of services for families pre-birth to 2 years supporting attachment via play & engagement.

A New after school session for children aged 4-10 years and their parents.   Funded by BBC Children in Need will start on Monday 20th February. MOVERS & MUNCHERS will run every Monday from 3.30 (with extra workshops during school holidays).  Learn how to prepare healthier snacks, take part in fun activities, discovering more about the food you eat & the importance of being active.
